a poem (again) about my almost was love life.
You stalk up behind me and raise your arm
The dagger plunges into my heart
Quick as lightning painful as a burn
This is how love starts.

My life flows from me, so sweet
Suddenly there is nothing but you I can see
Light shines and my heart swells
Without you, I can't be

A deep thrumming beat drums within me
Drowning all rationality
All I want, no, need, is you, you to love me so
To hold me and never, ever let go

The pain fades
To a dull throbbing ache
Loving you
Is a painful mistake.
