A woman falls in and out of love with a self centered commitment-phobe.
I hide my eyes
so you can't see to the lies
hidden behind my eyelids, my baby blue iris
spouting baby blue tears

I shut my mouth
So all the words wont come out
biting little remarks, as vicious as a dog bark
but twice as mean

But why should I? You'd never do the same.
Back away, back away. Get away from the flames.
They'll burn your pretty black dress and make you feel all this stress.
Nobody'd ruffle your feathers...but I digress.

I told a joke
I might as well not-a spoke
It drove a knife through my heart, I think we're falling apart
so why do I cry?

You're killing me
To the nth degree.
My mind's about to bust and I'm all in a fuss
Thanks to you.

Why do you feel like your Jesus Christ?
Go away, get away. You'll end up paying the price.
Your hair will become a mess, and you'll look like you're possessed.
Guess you're full of the ghost...but I digress.

Been around the bend but you never found a clue
You're in such a hurry you've never had a chance to be blue.
The world around is changing and you're stuck in the dark
Where is that spark? You know, the spark? The spark between me and you.

Who do you turn to when things fall?
It was me, it was me after all.
So when you guess theres no one to caress
I'll gladly be gone...but I digress.
