Lie Your Lies

I find it sad you cried your cries,
And lied your lies,
Like softly spoken lullabies.

How in my mind I tried and tried,
As blind leads blind,
To believe what fact does undermine.

But now I see how light bleeds light,
And right stays right;
But in the dark you're well confined.

So I shall leave you by and by,
To lie and lie,
And seek what is not in the night.
