Struggle to find God
So desperately I call for you
But, all I hear is me
I wait for a sign, a chance to prove,
To prove You're still my King

In vain I sit and listen
God, anything will do
Yet, still, I can't dismiss it
This doubt my heart has brewed

And I'm plunged into the darkness
Dragged further and further down
And though I scramble for the light
My hand meets nothing when reached out

God, where is Your mercy?
This torment is worse than hell
If I don't make it out alive
That is surely where I'll dwell

After all,
Isn't heaven for the question-less?
For the good and brave and bold?
Oh, God, even as I describe it
I see there's no room for my troubled soul

Relieve me of this agony,
This relentless uncertainty inside
And, oh, my God, please take me back
I want to be alive
