My selfishness; my vanity.
I cannot bear to breathe this air;
Cannot live another day.
I'm wasting time within my lies;
For years and years I've strayed.

My pride gives way to selfishness;
Out of vanity I feign.
I will never lift this heaviness;
Though day by day I strain.

Never can I do enough;
Cannot hide my heart depraved.
But somehow that never mattered;
You love me anyway.
