I remember a time when all you said
was like music to my ears.
Each word you spoke, the sweetest poetry;
lyrical beauty straight from your heart.

Now you tear me open from within,
I tried so hard to fake it.
But pretending only lasts so long,
I can't keep up this farce forever.

So spit those words and break me down,
cover me in spite just to watch me drown,
