When the sun peeps over the hill in the morn
And smiles at the nodding heads of the corn
To welcome the orange light of the dawn
To welcome the new day that is born

The silvery dew drops painted on leaves
And the golden gown that the warm sun weaves
The glint of the cloud, the glance of the sky
To stare at the lilies & roses so shy

The birds that soar high up with a trill
Kissing the warmth of the sun up the hill
The wink of the poppies & white daffodils
The rustling of leaves which gives me a thrill

The twirl of the tulips & marigold
The smile of the buttercups as they unfold
The music of hope that the nature does hold
Fills my heart with light untold
