When our foster kid went back to his family
To Bryan

I saw your picture today
and I cried.
I miss tying your shoes
and zippering your jacket
I don't play Mario Kart anymore,
and I was just getting good.
I can't pour you orange juice
or ruffle your hair.
I never knew your last name
or where you lived.
Your parents were just characters
in the stories I overheard,
but thats okay.
I saw your picture today,
and I cried
because it was just
a damn picture
