A Hobo

People call me a hobo
Some say that I am a vagabond

But I know that I am an honest man
I have no home of my own , and

Hardly any family ties

I will eat where I can find bread
And I will sleep where I can find a bed

At times when the weather gets cold
You will find me sitting on a bench

At the railway station
Or sleeping in one of those train cars

As the weather gets warmer
You will see me pushing a market cart with

All my belongings ……………. absolutely everything that I own!

Sometimes I may ask you for a dollar, and you may holler at me

I really do not want to live like this, I am embarrassed too !


I would like to work for my bread and butter …….. but …. no one will

Hire me …… The excuses are always the same …………………………………

You have no address, or telephone number
You need a degree, or a diploma

You do not have enough experience in your chosen field
And your age is against You too !

So I will continue to roll along with the punches although the elements are

Against me and I will never stop praying to the good Lord to keep me safe from

Harm and bless me with good health
That I may not fall a victim to the

Sub-culture !
