Affairs always end ugly and the children must pay for it with their lives.
Bang

Bang

Loud gunshots echoed around Jennifer as she scrambled around in the dark to find her two siblings. She felt her way into the living room where she had last seen them watching SpongeBob, but they were gone. The light emanating off the TV revealing two bullet holes on the white sofa where her brother and sister sat earlier in comfort. Worried about their safety she tried to make her way out the room while listening for footsteps, but she only heard the white noise coming from the TV.

“Max!” she yelled, “Mary!” and then more gun fire. Jennifer ran over to the staircase that lead to the second floor and called out again, but the response was more gunfire. Worried and frighten Jennifer ran up the stairs and into the hallway where all the bedrooms were. Walking from room to room she called for her siblings again, but in a low whisper and had no reply. She heard a crash downstairs and jumped at the sound of shattering glass as she placed her hand over her heart. Her heart was beating fast as her brain tried to make sense of what was happening. She didn’t know what was going on and it scared her. Jennifer could feel the sheltered life she had been living crumble beneath her with every step she took and every bullet the intruder fired. But what terrified her most was the thought of what was the man’s plan when he catches her or worse her siblings.

It all happened so fast the babysitter never saw it coming. Julia, the babysitter, laid dead in the foyer with a bullet in her head staring into nothingness. Jennifer cringed at the memory of Julia’s body lying on the floor after being kicked aside by the intruder, As if she was garbage, Jennifer thought to herself. She stood in front of her little brother’s room preparing herself for any horrors that may lie on the other side of the door. Gathering up her courage Jennifer opened the door and stepped into a world full of toys and transformers on the floor and walls. She whispered for Max and Mary when Jennifer heard shuffling coming from the closet. She walked over and opened the door to find Max and Mary armed and ready for battle, Max wearing a hockey mask while holding a hockey stick and Mary clinging onto her baseball bat. They held tightly onto their weapons, but they kept their eyes closed.

“Max” Jennifer whispered “Mary” both of them opened their eyes and looked at Jennifer. Half a second passed before they dropped their objects and clung to Jennifer’s clothing as they sobbed. Jennifer tried to calm them down, but they wouldn’t stop and she guessed they knew Julia was dead. When Jennifer asked them what they saw something occurred to her and she quickly hushed Mary before she could answer. Jennifer couldn’t hear anyone moving downstairs and the shooting stopped. She sighed in relief thinking the man had left when she heard a creaking noise. The man was coming up the stairs.

Jennifer quickly told Max and Mary to run to their parents’ room and call 911, but they refused. She then realized that her parents’ room was down the hall and they would have the pass the stairs to get there and they were frightened. She had to think of something quickly, but her brain wasn’t functioning the way it should. She peered out the door when she noticed her father’s office door was cracked open. An idea popped in her head as she grabbed her siblings and ran into the office looking for the one thing that could help her. She shuffled papers in one of the desk compartments and found the key to her father’s lock box where he kept his .9 MM pistol. Unfortunately the lock box was downstairs in the kitchen closet, ‘Never keep two deadly things together.’ Jennifer’s dad always told her. With another creak Jennifer felt chills go down her spine as the man grew closer to landing. As she was beginning to panic Jennifer’s eyes fell on Max and she thought up a plan.

The man tried to carefully and quietly walk up the stairs unnoticed, but the third step creaked under his weight. He froze and listened to hear anything on the second floor. He heard shuffling footsteps and then silence, he then dug in his pocket for more bullets to reload his gun. He fumbled a little and dropped some on the stair step. Quietly cussing under his breath he quickly picked them up and reloaded. With the sound of a click he was ready for his targets.

With each step he took a reason for what he was doing ran through his head, the woman with chocolate brown hair that shimmered like glistening water when it was caught in the sun light. Their first encounter when she accidently took his coffee at Starbucks, and the way she laughed nervously when she gave it back to him. Her voice capturing him in the moment as the coffee shop and everything else around him disappeared and they were the only people that mattered. Then when she left he noticed the lipstick on his coffee lid making his drink even more enjoyable. Afterwards their first night together in the Hilton Hotel as they lost sense of any moral to them as they ravaged each other. As she pulled him close calling his name, “Jim” between moans as he kissed her head to toe before he completely ate her. He could feel his heart race as he remembered her naked body shivering beneath him, glistening with sweat as she welcomed him inside her with every moan and groan. As sinful pleasure engulfed them both they were no longer the faithful husband and the loyal wife, but lovers.

That was the night his desire for her grew as he became intoxicated by her smell and addicted to her touch. The way she kissed him, slowly, and deeply made his heart ache when he remembered the taste of cherries coming from her soft lips. Suddenly he remembered his wife sitting on their bed in the master bedroom of his home. Her face stern and eyes piercing as they followed him. Confused about the situation he remembered walking over to her to kiss her cheek but she avoided from him like the plague. Stunned he asked her what was wrong when she asked him who she was. Startled Jim kept his composure and told his wife he had no idea what she was talking about when she pulled out red laced panties from her pocket and threw them at Jim. She asked Jim again who she was, but he was speechless. He fidgeted with the red lace remembering that only the night before he ripped them off of his lover with his bare teeth. Being pried form his thoughts from his frantic wife he wadded up the underwear and placed them in his pocket as he redirected his attention to his wife who was now pacing the floor.

It was then that he remembered how much she looked like a tigress with every step she took. How her gaze held his as he felt unable to move, like prey trapped in a predators’ sight. His heart began to race and his palms began to sweat as he waited to see what she was going to do. Suddenly she stopped and walked to him with a surprisingly fluid stride until she stopped before him. He felt his mouth dry up as he feared what she was going to do to him. She reached up to him and he flinched when suddenly she pulled his face down to her’s and they were kissing. Deeply. He remembered how wet her kiss was and how it turned hot and heavy quick. He lifted her leg up as he slid his hand over her thigh until he reached her underwear. Jim traced the line on the edge of the fabric with his thumb until he heard his wife moan. Taking that as a sign of approval he slid his whole hand under the fabric cupping her buttocks. She started to slide her hands under his shirt and he stated tracing invisible shaped on her skin with his finger. She moved herself closer to him as the kissing got more intense. By that point Jim couldn’t take it anymore he pulled her closer to him as he could feel himself get hard and the desire to rip off her clothes grow. Breaking off the kiss he caught his breath and asked her if she was ready. She rubbed up against his groin.

“Are you really that ready to fuck me?” she asked and he nodded. She stepped back and stripped in front of him. Her skin milky smooth, her breasts full, bouncy, and perky, with her red hair falling just below her shoulder and Jim drink in how she looked in that moment. She sat on the bed licking her lips as she beckoned him over with her finger. He walked over but stopped in the middle of the room when she told him too, then right in front of him she started playing with herself, Making herself wet and making Jim even harder as he watch pleasure fill his wife’s face without him being a part of causing it. Right when he felt he was going to burst she looked at him and asked if he like what he was seeing and he did like it. It was probably the sexiest thing he has ever seen his wife do. When he nodded her face lightened up.

“Good” she got off the bed and walked over to Jim and kissed him deeply. He could taste the inside of her mouth and she tasted like wine, but right when he was getting into the kiss she pushed him away. “Now that you know what you’re losing get out of my house you giant dick” she said as she walked over to the bathroom door. “Oh, and be sure to tell the kids goodbye, because I’m going to make sure you never see them again.” Then she disappeared into the bathroom. After that he remembered leaving the house feeling humiliated and pissed. So he called his lover and told her to meet up at the usual spot and when he got to the Hilton he found her wait for him in the lobby. Confused he confronted her only to be told it was over and that she wasn’t going to continue the affair. Shocked he tried to stop her from leaving and told her about the confrontation he had just had with his wife. Well not the whole story, but she didn’t care and told him that that was his problem not her’s. Pissed he threatened her and she stopped in her tracks and looked at him only to laugh in his face.

“You don’t have the balls to do anything” her voice was now mocking him.

“Don’t test me, Annie”, Jim said and then he stormed out into the parking lot. Now here he was in Annie’s home wanting revenge for abandoning him and causing to lose his home and family. Her children are the most important things to her, he thought to himself, now it’s time to take them.

He came up to the last step only to get hit back and fall to the bottom of the stairs. Without realizing it Jennifer had hidden herself behind the corner in the shadows so she could distract the man. She had taken the baseball bat that Mary had and hit the man in the chest with a full swing to knock him back. But on his way down Jim had pulled the trigger and shot Jennifer in the lag causing her to fall down with him. Mary and Max ran to their parents’ room in the confusion when Jim and Jennifer landed in the foyer both moaning in pain. Jim laid flat on his stomach and didn’t seem to move at all. Jennifer fell on something kind of soft, but rather sticky and when she opened her eyes she wanted to scream. She had landed on Julia.

Jennifer felt sick as Julia’s blank and emotionless eyes stared at her. Jennifer scrambled away from the corpse, but with the sudden her leg burned with pain from the bullet. Still she crawled her way to the kitchen hoping that this nightmare would soon be over. All she could think about was how she needed to get the gun that she didn’t even noticed the man had gotten up and disappeared.

As Scott Fisher and his wife, Annie, returned home from their dinner they noticed a blue Toyota parker in front of the house. Scott looked at the car from the driver’s seat with a curious expression, but Annie began to wonder about something. Her dark secret that was threatened to be revealed about a week ago by a man named Jim. The same man who owns a blue Toyota just like the one parked in front of her home. They both got out of their car and Annie began to walk to the house, but she stopped. Scott was looking at the Toyota thinking of reasons of why it was there.

“Do you suppose Julia brought over a boy?” he asked Annie.

“Maybe but I highly doubt it,” is what Annie wanted to say until her fears were realized when she heard gunshots from within her home. Annie ran to the front door and through it open only taking a few steps in she fell over something. She stared in horror at the corpse lying before her.

“Ju-Juli-Julia” Annie’s voice was cracking.

“Oh My God” Scott said as he helped up Annie, “How could this have happened?”

“It’s very simple, really.” Jim voice broke through to Annie when the gun fired again shooting Scott three times in the chest.

“Scott!” Annie cried as she began to try and help him up, but Jim pointed his gun at her.

“Leave him alone,” Jim said, “I shot him in some nasty areas moving him will only quicken his death, and I want to chat a little. Besides even if you wanted to help him he would still die,” Jim shrugged, “It’s only a matter of time.” Jim said as he sat down on the stairs and kept the gun pointed at Annie,. “Close the door, Annie.” Annie slowly moved toward the door and shut it, “and the locks” she nodded and locked the door as well. “Good. Funny isn’t? How life is so fragile. Just like a tower of cards, right? I mean one wrong move and then it all just falls apart.” Jim said and then laughed a little.

“Jim, “Annie said, “Why are you doing this?”

“Why?” Jim asked acting surprised and then chuckled a bit, “Because Annie, because of you my tower of cards came crashing down while yours is neat in its little place. And you know what? Its pissing me off that you still have everything while I’ve lost it. So here I am to level the plain field.” Jim then got up off the stairs to stand in front of Annie, “You know what went first? My wife, and with a great memory of me to.” Jim knelt down to face Scott was started to cough up blood, “Seems I got you in the lungs didn’t I? Oh well I’ll try and make this quick.” He pointed the gun at Annie, “You know when you think you know a person they come around and stab you in the back. Take your wife for example great wife, loving mother, dedicated business woman, but nobody’s perfect right?” Jim then looked at Annie, “No, Annie here flirts, lies, and cheats when her precious husband’s back is turned.”

“Don’t listen to him, Scott,” Annie pleaded.

“You know Scott,” Jim looked back at Scott, “When your wife tried to end our relationship she told me, now, what was it? Oh yes that I ‘don’t have the balls to do anything.’ But you know what? I had enough to do her, and I definitely had enough that when I came in her mouth she’d started to gag. Still she’d always say it was good, and that she wanted more.” Scott started to cough up more blood and Jim got closer to him, “I must hand it to you Scott you sure now how to pick them. She was probably the best fuck I’ve had in years on many, many occasions.” Then Jim got up and stepped back pointed his gun at Scott and shot him between the eyes. Annie screamed and collapsed next to her dead husband whose eyes remained on her. Scott’s eyes looked sad, shocked, and disappointed, but most of all they looked heart broken. As looked at her dead husband something in her snapped and her whole body began to shake. She could feel her world come crashing down all around her as Jim was laughing. His laugh was hallow and humorless and it frightened her to the bone.

Jim stopped laughing and reloaded his gun anticipating his next move. He looked over at Annie as she was still in shock and slapped her across the face. “Get over it, Annie.”

“You killed him,” she said angrily.

“Don’t worry,” Jim said as he paused to listen for anything.

“What do you mean?” Annie asked as she slowly got up to her feet.

“I told you I lost everything, right?” Annie nodded and with a click of Jim’s gun he looked at her, “So now where are the children?”

Jennifer was hiding in the kitchen closet holding her father’s .9 MM pistol close. She heard more shooting and her mother’s scream earlier and now was waiting for the man to come to her. The kitchen closet door had slits in it so Jennifer could see if anyone walked in. She had a bad feeling in the pit of her stomach as she waited for her target to arrive. As Jennifer waited an eerie quietness came over her and she felt a strange sense of security. She was about the exit the closet when she heard footsteps come into the kitchen, but it was two set of footsteps not just one.

This is it, Jennifer thought to herself, this is it.
