This is a poem I wrote in response to a song called Song To You by Leon Thomas The 3rd
I'm not the prettist girl
And we come from two different worlds
And I've been hurt too many times
To sit here and think that one day you will be mine

When I heard you sing to me
In my mind there was no possibility
That we would ever be together
But your words will be in my heart forever

I will take this song
These words, from you
Pretend what you feel
Your soul, is true
I'll never be in your world
I'm just an average girl
And all that I can do
All that I can do
Is take this song from
