Journal entry.
I want to know why you left that night,
When we were young and the moon was high.
You shook your head
And wandered off through the cars,
And left me alone with the smoke.
One last cigarette was too much for us,
You left and I stayed
Alone with the smoke.
Why did you stay
When I asked you to leave
With every other word?
You couldn't have trusted
What I had to say?
No, you had to go it alone.
So now I stand,
Alone with my smoke,
Waiting for something to give.
You, it was you, and I'm stuck here,
Waiting alone with myself.
