Not Enough

I've told you I love you every day and time after time,
It's never been enough to tell you how deeply I feel,
I've written you several verses in tender rhyme,
The lot of them do not tell that this love is real,

All words try to speak my love to you and they fail,
I wish there were words that had sufficient power,
To as much love as I feel all expressions are pale,
The affection I harbor grows each passing hour,

Your love pushes my words to reach for greater height,
Never fully expressing, but improving my art bit by bit,
Trying so hard to muster words that match love's might,
No words for a labor of love I can gather will ever be fit,

Since no words are enough an old classic will do,
Though they are too weak I must say I love you,
