Musings on friendship, from personal experience and others' perspective
I have been thinking about a relationship that I have with one person. The more I meditate on how we interact and relate to one another, the more I realise that I have discovered a true friend. Now this is not to say that I don't not have friendships and relationships with other people, both within my family and people I am not related to, I do. It is the discovery of a relationship that fits my idea of what friendship really is. What is the definition of a friend? The Cambridge Dictionary defines a friend as "a person who you know well and who you like a lot, but who is usually not a member of your family," and "someone who is not an enemy and who you can trust." A friendship is defined as "a friendly relationship, or the state of being friends." Straight forward and simple.
