Christmas Eve Comes Again

Christmas Eve comes again
With its cheer that never ends
To bring gifts to those held dear
With a love that is forever clear

Now join me in a Christmas story
That tales of the wondrous glory
Of a love that wants to be
Ours my love for eternity

The day is cold the sky is gray
Snow has landed upon the ground
The animals move in the fields
Slowly finding trees and brush
Finding what gives them warmth
The deep hopes seem far from sight
As this day moves along to night

The day moves along its way
Filling the houses with disarray
Crowds fill the towns this day
Making haste is all the fray
Many come from far away
Seeking places where they can stay

Slowly comes one man with staff in hand
He leads a Woman in life's way
Astride upon the donkey dear
To find a place where they can come, finding none

We move along the roadside now
Bringing feed for the animals to find
Along the pathway we stride
Seeing the man and his wife

Come follow us I say to him
Let me show you a place to stay
From this cold and gray day

To a place we bring the man
Slowly we find shelter therein
Placing straw upon a manger
Looking at the wife with wonder

Can this story be ours to behold I say
My heart felt love beside me this day
We walk back to the house with hope
Our hands joined with love deep in thought

Here this night in the cold
A newborn babe will come to lite
Can the hope that fills our hearts
Make this a day our delight

We came back home with hearts renewed
The following morning to see the Good News
In the stable we gave that night
We find our new Born hope held bright

For in place of the Man, His Wife and Child
We find the Christmas Manger filled with life
New life has come this Christmas Morning
As we see our live stock here New Born

New life and blessed health has come
For the animals within
New life from them has sprung
For us and our family New Hope begins


This Christmas morning will come
With new hope and good will
That hard times will be gone
New times will be born again

Forever joined in the love of life
This is the true Christmas wish
That the love of my life
May be blessed with Christmas Hope so bright
