Sometimes you want people to change, but they just aren't willing, and remain selfish.
What could possibly lie behind that door?
Certainly not what you are looking for.

Your mind is clouded from seeing the truth,
Something which was lost way back in your youth.

Now you are seeking nothing so it seems,
But instead manifesting idle dreams.

How will you succeed at any trial,
When you are overcome by denial?

Even the ones that love you quite dearly,
Are suffered  by your actions severely.

Life might just have a more profound meaning,
If you listen to those intervening.

All that matters is me, myself and I,
And in turn, happiness passes you by.
