I looked into his eyes tonight, and what I saw was scary...
I looked into his eyes tonight,
and what I saw was scary.
I saw that they were void of light,
though once they twinkled merry.

Two endless chasms filled the space,
so dark and deep and maddening.
They seemed to dominate his face,
a look so cold and saddening.

The blackness seemed to grip my soul;
my body started shaking.
I stared into the gaping hole;
my heart commenced its breaking.

What had caused this sudden change,
what had this man become?
What could have made him act so strange,
as if his mind was numb?

No longer could I bear to stay,
insanity impended.
And as I turned to walk away,
I knew our love had ended.
