Children's story writing competition

Ninimo, "where stories come to life" story writing competition.

The importance of telling bedtime stories for children cannot be emphasized enough.
Children living through stories can easier interpret the world around them, tell the difference between right and wrong. Stories prepare them for various challenges moreover teaches them how to solve problems and have strength.

Therefore we created a web application, with which anyone can easily make a whole story-book utilizing famous and unknown, but talented young illustrators’ excellent drawings, backgrounds and figures along with numerous photos taken nowadays by parents of their child.

We are expecting stories for our competition, which are based on basic human moral values (such as truthfulness, friendship, honour, loyalty, temperance etc.).They help to see goodness, beauty and verity in the world.

Write stories to the following themes, Forest idyl, Ghost castle, Teddy bear snug, Daily chick, Grimm fairy tales, Gentian ocean, on our website: http://ninimo-storybooks.com/. They can be combined as you like, using up characters and backgrounds of the themes to give idea, and guideline to parents ready to start writing their own stories.

Content and editing requirements: 

Write and illustrate your story or stories on 12 pages using the above mentioned characters and backgrounds. A story page may contain text bubbles, avatars, and as much text as can fit to a narrative box under the picture.
Cover page is also required containing the title, the name of the writer and the main caracter of the story. They can be found in the story editor tag.
Target audience: adequate age group.
Anyone can apply to the competition from any country.
We reserve the right to publish and freely apply stories exclusively for five years from the date of Ninimo’s competition announcement of the participating stories.

Requirements of handing in stories:

Prepare story book on our website: http://ninimo-storybooks.com/. Save it than click on the story store tag in the menu bar, and open your story there. Copy the address from the address bar, and send it to the following email address:

Deadline:

Friday midnight 14 January, 2011.
Unfortunately we cannot consider stories after the deadline.

Evaluation:

Jury of 3 members on the field.

Award announcement:

Friday 21 January, 2011.
Prize-winning story writers will be informed through e-mail.

1st prize:500.000 GPS
2nd prize:300.000 GPS
3rd prize:200.000 GPS
If less than 10 participants take part, only the first prize will be awarded.
