Eve v/s Adam

Muscles can’t dominate will power,
Women can stand up for justice although they are as fragile as a flower.
Men shouldn’t look down upon them and leave a scar.
Heavenly emotions and sentiments mistook as weaknesses,
Without any reason men leave behind blemishes.
Be sure to fight for your rights,
Then you will touch unprecedented heights.

It is an unnecessary truism to say that though males outnumber females on this blue planet, females continue to wear the sash of being God’s finest creation.
Albeit in our patriarchal society, women have been a victim of suppressions, with the passage of time, women are coming to the fore. But no one can take away from the fact that the fairer sex is a rare combination of brains and brawns. A woman is a multi-faceted individual, who gladly caters to the needs of her family, friends, colleagues, et al. Juggling family life with work is difficult and undoubtedly requires Herculean skills but women carry it off with utmost ease.

Whenever comparison between inhabitants of Mars and Venus arises, it sparks off a debate and predominantly it’s the Eves who emerge as the winner. Women are quintessential multi-taskers. They can manage the office work, monitor child’s home work and prepare the dinner –all at the same time! Moreover, your head doesn’t go for a toss when you imagine an eve slipping into the skin of Adam. It’s alright to see a woman as a mechanic or whizzing past in motorcycles but it’s hard to imagine guys applying layers of make-up or decking up their dolls!

We are way ahead of boys because we simply don’t have to think about reasons we have an edge over them.

If boys are caught crying, they become the laughing stock. But tears trickling down a woman’s cheek can easily reduce any man to a bundle of nerves. And your handwriting too is not that bad, if you happen to be a girl.
Though there is plenty to be proud of being a woman, they have been to subject torture and violence. They have been prey to social stigmas like female foeticide, dowry deaths, eve-teasing, etc. even in this satellite communication era, girls face far more restrictions than guys. A boy uncorking the champagne at 2 a.m. doesn’t make heads turn but for most girls it’s mandatory to be home before 10 p.m. Unfair!
Today, in the 21st century, when we talk about equality, reservations aren’t the best bet. In my view, they are synonymous to nothing but ‘protective discrimination’. Surely, you can’t feel empowered standing in the women only metro coach. So all the femmes out there, do stand up for your rights. Make sure you are never looked down upon as helpless creatures but as women of substance.
