A poem about love blossoming unexpectedly and losing it to a beautiful longing friendship. |
Stars pass before blind eyes, Painted lines dangerously blurred. Desirous thruths, found wanting, Tricked to the point if warping, Into desirous lies, ripening, Blossoming imagined fatalities. Accustomed to such lovely brutalities. Aching in the solitude you blanketed. Hearts hung out to dry in a sea filled cup. Searching and beguiling fantasies, Whispered delightful, oh so dreadful possibilities. Promises dreamt. Words you heard, never said. Lost to yourself, where to begin? Where you left off, deserted for a reason. Masking beautiful possibilities, Giving them life not their own. All to live in a lost memory. Of heard heartbeats, in unison. Fingers grasping, cradled in both of your palms. A traced pattern, distantly related. To the natural insanity, Explainable as natural simplicity. Unable to forget whispered fancies. Eyes that can't look away, Forming a smile insisting to stay. Safety found accidentally. A heart that has to believe. Butterflies at every turn, Lost in another possibility, Floating When advised against. That is until things are ripped away. You were warned, silly girl, Nothing lasts forever, Aside from the agonizing promise of nothing. |
