the revised draft of High Class Losers
Episode 1- The Piolet

DIARY ENTRY #1: MONDAY AUGUST 23rd 2010 6:45 A.M
"Okay. I believe this day is the first day of the rest of my life. Seriously. I am going to leave my extremely dorky(and lets face it ugly) years behind. I am going to record my life as i rebirth myself into a graceful and beautiful swan from an ugly duckling. I am a phoenix, hear me roar. So... I hope my future self enjoys this story. (No one else better see it.)
So this back to school thing... not looking forward to it. Expecially High school! I love seeing my peers and everything but waking up at 6 am to learn is not my thing. The big reason besides not watching That 70's Show all day long is the 'Back to School Extravaganza-' dear god. So my guidance consuler told me I was not ever going to get into college if I didn't have any extra curiculars. And I have to go to college if i ever want to get out of this town. So I had to decide between band and this play thing (and you can't play the guitar in band so I chose the extravaganza.
So my just "wonderful" day started out like this...

Act 1-going to school. Scene 1- Ashbury High Parking lot
If you have ever lived in a small town you would understand my... rut of a life. I live in a small town in Ohio next to Cincinnati called Ashbury. This town is only alive because of the Drummond office supply company. I know exciting. The only reason that's alive is because their older daughter won a beauty pageant and donated a large chunk of her prize money to the company. With that money the company built a huge tourist amusement park a few miles away. So this town florishes with tourists but is basically empty with the normal loser citizens.

"We are young we are free.." Sang my phone as it woke me up from my deep sleep. I streched out on my purple and gold bedazzled comforter that my grand paw got me from India and wiped the drool from my face as I looked at the caller I.D. It was Addison. From what I can remember about her from eighth grade is her being skinny, tan and blonde. Preppy, too. She was a T.A.P- A typical Ashbury Prep. "Farah's phone you called it you got it," I answered grogilly. "Farah! Hey! Um just reminding you about the Extravaganza," She chirped. "Uh-huh," I moaned. "Okay so... I'll see you later," She said. "Why would I see you later?" I wondered. "Duh- It's the first day of school," She replied. I hung up and threw my phone against the wall just remembering that I actually have school. "This is going to be a great year," I lied to myself.
Though I'm not glad about coming back to school, I have to say I am glad to be at the high school. Ashbury High is the biggest school out of our four schools (Ash Creek Elementary, Hilltop Elemetery, Ashbury Middle, and Ashbury High) But the smallest High school in the district (Deer Park, Lockland, Delhi, Sycamore, Madeira, Indian Hill, and Middletown-Public schools and Cincinnati Country Day, *Octavia Prep for girls and *Ivan Prep for boys-Private schools)
*part of the Gayne Preparatory Campus
The parking lot was the newest addition to the school. It had four levels, two of which are underground. Before or after school students gather and hang out there. For the most part seniors get the top-level, Juniors get the get the ground level, Sophmores get the next level down and us lowly Freshman get the bottom level.
So I was walking through the bottom lot to the elevator when I over heard a conversation between three boys- two of which I believe used to go to Private schools. The first boy, who I know went to Cincinnati Country Day, from his sports jacket, has this blondish-brown hair, average hight and weight and silvery eyes, and is screaming at the other saying: "What do you mean you lost it?! I'm going to kick your ass!" and the second one, who is also new, has a blue mohawk, matching deep blue eyes, and is kind of short was saying "I don't know. It was in my room and my mom thought it was trash! She threw it away!" Then the third one, who I knew from grade school- Hudson Thurston, is trying to calm them down. "Guys. Guys. What's the big deal. It's just a science project," he says. "Just a science project!" Says silver eyes "Hudson, we worked in a group. It counts as your grade, too!" Then Hudson starts yelling "I'm going to kick your ass. Then Addison walks up to all the mahem, furious looking: "Who drew on the banana!?" So I walk up and ask: "What seems to be the problem, boys?"
"There's nothing wrong now that your here beautiful," Hudson charms. That's the thing about Hudson. He's hot, charming and has girls falling at his feet. Normally. But for me I can see past the wonderful(emerald green eyes, cutely crooked smile and flawless skin) and into his real self- shallowness. "No," Said Addison in her vallygirl-twanged voice "Is that they duh-rew on my breakfast!" She furiously shook the banana. We just replied with an empty stare that sent her flipping her shoulder-length platmin-blonde hair and storming away. "Yeah... I'm definatly breaking up with her," Hudson frowned.
"The real problem," Silver eyes stood "Is that this dumb ass-" he said pointing to Blue Mohawk "Lost our summer science project." "Ask for an extension," I offered. "Naw, Mrs. Briggs is hard as stone. She'd never give," Mohawk pouted. "Besides. It was for summer school. The only thing from keeping us there another month." Silver eyes pulled out a plastic squirt bottle and shot the Mohawk in the face with water. "Shut up Finnegan," He said. I squinted. "What are you doing? Training a dog?" I asked. "It's affective," Silver eyes shrugged. "It is," Mohawk admitted "It tears down my self-esteem." We all stopped to process this and ended up just staring at him. Being embarrassed, he quickly shrugged and ran his hand over his Mohawk.
Just then my brilliant mind struck a cord and I remember one of my many awful jobs for the "Back To School Extravaganza!!!" Recruiting talent. Though it being only a few weeks away that seemed like a bit of a problem to me. I would obviously have to pull as many favors as I could. And I can see opportunity for one at that very moment.
"Wait," I said "What if I talked to Briggs and asked for an extension?" "Really!" Silver eyes jumped into the air "If you do I will love you forever!" "Yeah Hudson smiled his cocky little half-grin. "You'll be a super star." "On on condition," I said. Silver eyes and Mohawk stopped jumping. "You have to perform in the extravaganza." "All of us?" Hudson moaned.
"All of you-"
"Doing...?"
"Singing,"
They groaned.
"And dancing,"
More Groaning.
"So what do you say?" I asked. "If you can get our extension," Silver eyes said. "Okay just tell me your names and I'll write them down," I said. "Saxton Jaakson," Silver eyes held out his hand for me to shake. He was actually pretty cute when he was calm. I shook it. "I'm from Cincinnati Country Day." "And I'm Finnegan Edds," Mohawk shoved his hands into his baggy pockets. "I'm from Ridgeway." "Hudson Thurston. I'm sure you know me," He smiled another one of his half grins. All of the sudden a loud shrill came from the school. It was the school bell. "Great I'll see you later!" I called. "Wait!" Saxton called back "What's your name?" "Farah Robs," I told them, then turned and ran into the school.

As I climbed the Blue and gold painted stairs an extremely unwelcome surprise well... welcomed me. The very thing I had been dreading all year- Magnolia King. She was the most annoying, busy-body, stick-up-her-ass, control-freak that ever walked the streets of Ohio. (I'd say in America but I had encounters with this bitch in Florida- long story) "Farah!!" She called and ran to my side, almost knocking me down the stairs.
"Hi Maggie," I droned without enthusiasm. "Now Farah, you know I do not like knick-names. You know what I say- they are for the weak," She thought for a moment and put her jet-black hair into a pony-tail "And paralyzed. Now, how is your recruiting process going?" "Great!" I lied. "How many people are coming to auditions tomorrow?" She wondered. "Well. So far... like... three people," I mumbled. "What three?!" She exclaimed. "Um-" I turned towards her "Not for sure yet." "Have you at least practiced with Fred?" She asked. "Ew, gross. I hate Fred," I denied. Magnolia put her hands on her hips "What have you been doing this summer?" "For your information: reviewing musicals!" I lied. Well not completely- I did watch Glee and Grease... and a bits and pieces of High School Musical and Momma Mia against my will. "Okay. Well I hope, for your sake, that payed off. We have a meeting at 11:45," Magnolia said. "Ugh that's my break period," I groaned. Maggie gave me a piercing stare."I mean- Yay! A meeting with the most hated teacher: The evil Mrs. Berry," I said with false enthusiasm.
Mrs. Berry was the most hated teacher in the world. And she was even a dramatic arts teacher! She had an interesting, fun subject and she still was a mean, hateful, strict bitch. And she's pretty young so you can't even blame it on menopause.
"Don't you talk about the beautiful Mrs. Berry that way!" Magnolia snapped. "Ha beautiful!" Addison chimed in from behind me "I agree with Farah. The 'beautiful Mrs. Berry' is a fucking bitch." Magnolia stood stunned. I had never respected Addison more. "And you don't even have to live with her," Addison crossed her arms. "Wait. Why do you live with Mrs. Berry?" I wondered. "That's my mom," Addison said. "You know- Addison Berry, Mrs. Berry." "Good comprehension skills, Farah dear," Magnolia scoffed. "Well I'm going to class, children. Ta-ta." "Bye, Addison," I said. "Bye," She replied. The bell rang.

Act 1. Scene 2-Lunchroom
By lunch I was exhausted. I sank into one of the blue plastic chairs that surrounded the white table where Jacki and Lynn sat. "Lynn sat down her peach yogurt and looked at me. "Haven't seen you all day. You look nice," She said. "Thank you," I replied picking up my McDouble my mom dropped off in the office for my first day. "Yeah," Jacki agreed "That shirt almost covers up your stomach bulge." I sat my burger on my Styrofoam tray. "Almost," Jacki repeated.
Okay, I know what your thinking- She's a real bitch. Well, your right, she's pretty damn offensive. But not intentionally- that's just kind of her personality. Her terribly awful personality. One of her many character flaws. But she is my best friend. Has been science kindergarten. The same goes with Lamia Lynn Hammond (Who goes by Lynn because Lamia means 'one who murders and abducts children.'
"Oh I got you both back to school gifts," Jacki said handing Lynn a brightly wrapped package. And me a golden wrapped square. Mine was a gift card to Kymyka. "You need some you shoes," Jacki said "Vans Sneakers are for skaters and cheaps." I looked down at my checkerboard slip-on Vans.
A good thing about Jacki is that you can always rely on her to be loose with her pockets (Although I'm sure the only reason she buys Lynn and me things is because she wants to be in charge.)
Lynn opened her present to reveal a note pad with the words "Rate your wardrobe" scribbled on it in cursive. She gave this dissipointed expression like she had been cheaped (which is understandable because Kymyka shoes are really expensive. "I have given you the very important job of rating my and Farah's wardrobe. "Great," Lynn said unenthusiastically. "You can start now," Jacki said as more of an order than a suggestion. And with a sigh she did.
"So remember when I was talking about the Back To School Extravaganza?" I said. Jacki and Lynn looked at me blankly. "Really? Not at all?" I asked. Which lead me to wonder if the Extravaganza even crossed my mind at all. "Well anyway, tryouts are tomorrow and I was wondering if you two would like to try out?" "So what we sing and dance?" Lynn asked. "Yes," I answered. "I'm in," Jacki said "I'm a great dancer and even better singer." Lynn and I gave each other "The Look."
"The Look" is the look we exchange when Jacki says something completely ludicrous but neither of us objects because (like said above) we like gifts and shiny things. Yeah it's terrible, what can I say- I'm a selfish teenager.
"I'll take the main lead," Jacki said. "No. You can't do that. You have to try out," I said. "No need. I'm the best. But try out if I must. I suppose I will," She replied. "Okay," I said, shaking off her conceitedness "What about you Lynn?" "Sure," She said. "Great," I said "This is a big help, you guys."
The bell rang signaling the end of lunch- and the dreadful start of the Extravaganza Meeting.

Act 1-going to school Scene 3- Ashbury Auditorium

Ashbury isn't the poorest school in the district- but it is by far not the richest. We don't actually have a designated 'meeting room' so meetings usually take place in an empty classroom or cafeteria. This one happens to be in the biggest dressing rooms behind the stage in the auditorium. We are all seated around a round table. "Role call, Magnolia," Mrs. Berry demanded. "Yes ma'am," Magnolia replied.
"Berry- Mrs. and Addison,"
"Present,"
"Here,"
"King- Magnolia here. Mifflin- Fred?"
"Here,"
"Robs- Farah,"
"All are here Mrs. Berry," Magnolia reported. "Good. Thank you, dear. Now I need details," demanded Mrs. Berry. "Well I have completed my duties: The instrumental backgrounds have been prerecorded and the live musicians have been selected and are practicing as we speek, I have built a ticket booth and bought the tickets from office Max, and I have a stable stage crew who are informed about their duties," said Magnolia. "Fantastic work, Magnolia. Your like the daughter I never had!" Sang Mrs. Berry. Addison threw her hands in the air "What do you mean 'the daughter you never had'? I'm your daughter!"
"Maybe I'd consider you being a daughter if you had a grade point average over point seven,"
"Then what do you consider me?"
"Well If you really must know: a vegetable,"
Addison just glared at her mother and flopped back in her seat with defeat. I felt a twinge of pity for her. "Farah whats your report?" Mrs. Berry asked. "Well I have five people coming to the auditions-" I started. "Five?" Mrs. Berry interrupted "Your quota was fifteen." "I still have time," I defended. "What about your song choice and scripting and stage direction and-"
"I think it should be improvised. That's what true performers do,"
"Get it done, Farahlina,"
"That's not my name,"
"What is it then?"
"Farah,"
"No,"
"What do you mean no?"
Then Fred jumped out of his seat and being really suck-up-y he said: "I have a song list picked out, Mrs. Berry," "Oh really, Fred. What song are you singing?" I said. He turns the color of a strawberry and mumbles "You know... that one song." "Shut up, Fred," Addison said.
Mrs. Berry flopped back in her chair and bellowed out a groan. "Ha. They play's not a failure till the fat lady groans," Addison said. "I think you mean 'fat lady sings' you dim girl," Said Mrs. Berry. "No I'm pretty sure you just groaned," Addison smiled. "I think your a beautiful size, Mrs. Berry," Said Magnolia, almost beating Fred in the great kiss-up challenge. "You see this is why you have no friends," I snapped. "I have plenty of friends," She put her hands on her hips. "Really name one?" I spat. "Fred," She said. "I'd rather have no friends," I said coldly.
"This play is going to be a awful failure like you kids!" Mrs. Berry stood and stormed out of the room. "Well she is a beautiful woman," I said sarcastically "Addison, why can't you be more like her?" "Because I'm just a vegetable. Just call me Addison the tomato!" Addison screamed. "A tomato is a fruit," Magnolia said. "People wouldn't hate you if you didn't talk!" Addison said, storming out of the room. "It's true," I confirmed "Sorry."
"Okay. So we did get some stuff done. We've established that everybody hates everybody, we're all awful failures and a tomato is a fruit," I said, trying to look on the bright side "Any thing you'd like to add? Fred? Mags?" "Are you trying to look on the bright side?" Fred asked. "No," I lied, giving a rare sigh of defeat. "Well then I have nothing to add. Plus I'm hurt. I've been hurt by the people I work with. In the sacred drama area," He said. "Okay..." I whispered. Really, that's all you can say to the kid sometimes. "Well, if we can find ten more people for auditions, find a song selection and assign the rest of the jobs by tomorrow then we'll be fine," Magnolia said "Fine." Her voice cracked.
I started counting down from ten with my fingers. "What are you doing?" Fred asked. "Seeing how long it takes you to storm out," I replied. He shook his head as if he was agreeing and stormed out of the room. "Six seconds. Not too shabby," I said to myself. "Wait. There's like twenty minutes left of this bell. Where are they all going?"

Act 2-recriuting Hudson, Saxton and Finnegan. Scene 1-English Class
"Okay, Class, break into table groups to discuss and define the word of the day. The word is 'Apodysophilia,'" Ms. Marsh instructed. My table group happened to be Hudson, Finnegan and Saxton. "I got your extension," I told them. "How?" Saxton asked in amazement "Sell your soul?" "More like my sisters soul," I confessed. "She has to go on a date with Briggs' son." "That's a little desperate. Is he fat?" Hudson said. I shrugged. "How old is your sister?" Finnegan asked. "Ten," I looked down. "How old is he?" Finnegan asked. "Twelve, I think," I admitted. "Ohh," They all said. "What thirteen year old's don't have sex on their minds yet," I assumed. "Uhhh," Was all they could say. "Maybe that's just girls," Finnegan suggested. "Uhhh," Was all I could say. There was an awkward silence.
"Hey, Fin, look up the definition for the word of the day," Saxton said, changing the subject. Fearing the squirt bottle, Finnegan did as told. "Anyway, she'll be fine. Mrs. Briggs will be there," I said. "And Briggs is okay with this?" Saxton wondered. "Well she wanted me to date him but I had met him once and he was... unpleasent," I shuddered. "How so?" Hudson asked. "Well it was the Ashbury vs. Deer Park homecoming game and he ran up to the Deer Park mascot- the blue devil, called them Satanists and Godless douche bags, and then stabbed the mascot with a cross," I explained. "Oh, god," They said at the same time. "Speaking of god, I got out of it by saying I was an Aythiest. Which isn't entirely untrue due to the fact I want to stay away from that boy and a cross. Which is how my sister- Raleigh came in," I said.
"So your going to have a blast at audition!" I smiled. They groaned. "Oh well. A promise is a promise," I said. "'Apodysophilia is the feverish desire to undress," Finnegan said. "Hey maybe we could do that for our acts," Hudson said. "There would be no way of getting that past Mrs. Berry, otherwise I'd be all for it," I said. "Of course you would," Hudson said with a wink. I rolled my eyes but laughed. "There tomorrow at five. Be there," I demanded.
"Okay class come together," Ms. Marsh said.

She may be hard to convince, though.

Act 3-recruiting Talia Scene 1-Girls gym locker room
Talia was obviously new to Ashbury. She was definatley not a T.A.G- typical Ashbury girl. No blonde hair, tan skin (even though she was black. which, not being racist by any means, wasn't a T.A.G quality either) or Abercrombie, Hollister, Aeropostle-preppy clothes. Though she was a T.D.P.G- a Typical Deer Park Girl. She wore the skinny jeans, vans, and shopped at Hot Topic or PacSun. Some may say they had an "Emo" Or "Scene" style.
I was in the girls gym locker room when i approached her. She was pretty, I thought. Her black hair was shiny and strait. Her teeth were perfectly white. She had light brown skin. And she was skinny. "Talia?" I said. "Yeah," She said in a calm, soft voice, but it had edge to it. "Talia don't talk to no bitches," Her friend said jumping from the shadows. She was black too, but much darker. And she was a lot bigger than Talia. I had a feeling, just by stereotype, that she was from Lockland. Lockland was the most ghetto of schools from the district.
"Kellisha, Calm down," Talia said quietly. "Yeah, Kellisha, I just want to talk to Talia," I said. "Nobody call me Kellisha but her!" She yelled. "I'm sorry... Kelly?" I squeaked. And apparently that made her pretty mad because just then she took a swing at me. I ducked and she missed, hitting a locker. "Hey, Talia," I said. Dodging another one of Kellisha's punches and menuvering behind her so that I faced Talia. "I was wondering if you'd like to try out for a spot on 'The Back To School Extravaganza'." Kellisha punched my arm and knocked me down- she's a strong girl. "What's in it for me?" Talia asked. Kellisha went to kick me but I rolled over and stood up"I'm sure you could think of something," I said. "I'm sure I could," She agreed. I stood up on one of the benches and as Kellisha ran towards me I kicked her in the face, sending her flat on her back. I turned around to Talia. "So what do you say?" I asked. "I say white girl got strength. And I'm in."
"Great," I said. Out of breath, I jumped down off the bench and walked to the gym.

Act 4- Recruiting Lynn and Jacki Scene 1- Kymyka
Kymaka was like the god of all shoe stores. Christian Loubutin, Dolce and Gabbana, Jimmy Choo, Stella McCartney- the works. It was floored and bordered with a dark wood and it's walls were a plain white. Crystal chandeleirs hung from the celing and silver poles jutted up from the ground to display shoes.
Jacki drug Lynn and I along after school. I almost cried from all the beautiful pairs of shoes. Mostly because I knew they were worth ten times of me. "So I was thinking Jimmy Choo's. Mmmm no your more of Christian Loubutin type of girl, aren't you," Jacki rambled. She went into a seprate isle to look for more shoes and left Lynn and I lost in a sea of handbags. "Ugh this is torture," Lynn cried "Dozens of beautiful shoes and I'm stuck with a notepad to write down how great everyone looks." She sat down in the middle of the isle and let her head fall into her hands. "Get up," I looked down at her pitifully. "If it makes you fell better I have a strong feeling I wont even be picking out the shoes," I said. Looking over to were Jacki was lost in the world of high fashion. "So," Lynn said. I didn't think that would help. "Just like you do. Just like you sho-be-do-do-do" Lynn's phone chimed. "Hang on," She said. "Hello..." She walked out of the store to take her call. "Ahh, Farah there you are. Try these on," Jacki said thrusting these eggplant colored strappy pumps at me. I sat down to put them on.
As soon as I stood up I was knocked over by a sobbing Lynn. "Farah. Farah!" She cried. I looked to Jacki "What's wrong with her?" Jacki shrugged and went off to look for more shoes. "Lynn. Tell me whats wrong!" I pleaded. "Yo-Yo-Yo Yoshi is is is he is my dad is..." She tried to
say. "Spit it out," I said. "My dad is going to slaughter porkers!" She screamed silencing the whole store. I escorted her outside.
You see Lynn's whole family used to live on a farm in Kentucky. They moved to Cincinnati when Lynn was four. And with Lynn came their bloodhound- Franklin and their pregnant pig Talulah. Talulah had her babies Yoshi and Fonzie and Rafiel and Porkers and Doddle bug and Woppers and Betsey and Moreen. Yoshi was going to be slaughtered immediately because it was a runt. Lynn (her favorite movie being Charlotte's web) saved Yoshi and kept him as a pet. Talulah, Fonzie, Rafiel, Porkers, Doddle bug, Woppers, Betsey, and Moreen were sold. Apparently now that Yoshi was ten years old he must be turned into bacon. I don't know why. I can't really begin to understand farm life.
"Oh my god. Lynn, I'm so sorry," I cooed. She blubbered onto my shoulder "I-I can't come to the-the-" "The what?" I asked.
"The auditions,"
"No-no Lynn you have to! If I don't get to my quota I'll fail! I wont get into college!"
"I just can't go. Yoshi's funeral is at the exact same time,"
I thought for a long hard moment. "What if Yoshi doesn't have to die." "What?" She looked up hopefully from my shoulder. "What if he lives with me?" I suggested. "Really Farah! That would be fantastic! Yoshi means the world to me!" She screamed with joy. "Yes. But you have to come to the auditions. And make sure Jacki does too," I said. "Sure. Sure. And Jacki's an attention whore- that part will be no problem," Lynn said. And she was right. The problem will be convincing my mom or dad to let Yoshi "Sleep over."

Act 5 Convincing the parents. Scene 1-My moms house
I was worried enough about talking to my parents about taking in a pig. But at least since my parents are divorced I get two tries. I was at my Moms today so I figured I'd start with her. But as soon as I walked through the door, Fate had something else in store for me.
"Farah!" Eighty pounds of my sister came crashing into me and knocked me back outside onto the front porch. She sat on me and pinned my arms down with her knees. "Jesus Christ, Raleigh, whats your problem!" I cried. "Your making me date Benji!" She screamed. "Who?" I wondered. "Benji Briggs! He came up to me after school and said you told his mom that I would date him!" She yelled with a wild look in her eye. "Yeah," I admitted. "He's an older man. Be grateful." I pushed her off of me and stood. "Grateful! He's a retard," She pouted punching me in the stomach. "First- retards not a nice word. Second- I know he's a retard but you could end up liking him. And Third- that doesn't hurt!" I said referring to the punch. "Meh meh meh mehmeh," She mocked me. "Your going on this date," I said. "Fine," She said crossing her arms. "Really," I said puzzled "Was it that easy?" "No," She said "What's in it for me." "Oh. A bargainer. How about an ice cream," I said. "No. How about you babysit me- for free- And I throw a party with twenty of my friends," She said.
"Ten,"
"Nineteen,"
"Eleven,"
"Eighteen,"
"Twelve,"
"Seventeen is my final offer,"
"Fine. But no boys." I gave in. Seventeen ten year olds. How hard can it be.

"Mom. Can I come in," I knocked on her door. "Yes," She patted to a spot next to her on the bed. I sighed and slunk into it. "Is everything all right?" She asked. "Yes mom everything is-" My voice cracks "Fine," I wiped away a imaginary tear.
Now I'll tell you this right now- I'm not one of those kids who goes running to mommy and daddy for advice, or to talk about feelings, or to talk about sex. I am the opposite. I keep everything to myself. Some say it's unhealthy but that's how I've dealt with things my whole life. It works for me. So when I go running to my mom with my feelings she jumps on the opportunity to help. This is gold to her. My dad on the other hand is more like me when it comes to these things. I'm pretty sure it scares him when I cry.
"Farah, you know you can come to me for anything, right?" She cooed. "It's just... my life's a wreck," I sobbed "I'm just so sad." "Oh why dear?" My mom asked. "Well... Yoshi- you know, Lynn's... pet is going to... to..." Fake hysterics. "Oh dear," My mom wrapped me in a hug. "What?" "He's going to be killed Mom! Lynn's Dad wants to get rid of him!" I sobbed. "He'll die unless..." I looked at her "Unless we can keep him." She pulled out of the hug to look at me seriously. "Now Farah. I don't know about this. We already have Waffles," She said to me. "Yes Mom. But he'll die," I said all quietly. "I'll think about it," She said. "Yes... Mommy," I got up and walk to the door. "Farah," said my mom. "If I say yes-" It was the "mommy" it always gets her. "-Then you have to spend three weekends at your Aunts." "Aunt Charyl?" I wondered. She was the rich aunt- the one I was hoping for. "No," Said my mom "Aunt Josephine." I groaned. Aunt Jo lived on a farm. "Fine," I agreed.
I just wonder if my mom will when she finds out that Yoshi is a pig.

DIARY ENTRY- TUESDAY AUGUST 28th 2010 6:42 A.M
Today is the day of tryouts for the Back To School Extravaganza. I'm freaking out! I only have recruited six people- Hudson Thurston, Saxton Jaakson, Finnegan Edds, Jacki Drummond, Lamia Lynn Hammond, and Talia Krosydolious. My quota was fifteen. I still have nine more to go. Plus I have a feeling that Fred hasn't doe his job so It'll be a race to see who can get to the people first. Because seriously we have a lot of attention whores at our school but even then there's only a handful of people who want to publicly humiliate themselves. And even the people I can convince ask for a favor.
~The boys asked for an extension that I got from Briggs- Briggs wants Raleigh to take her crazy ass son on a date- Raleigh then wants me to chaperone a party for a bunch of ten year olds on crack.
~Lynn needs me to watch her pig- the only way I can watch her pig is if I go live on a farm for three weekends(and trust me I'm a city girl)
~ I'm just terrified to see what Talia wants me to do.
I swear Its all Favors. Favors. Favors!!!
Oh well lets see what Favors today has in store for me.

Act 6-Realizing I'm fucked. Scene 1-My room/i}
I heard Travie McCoy's "We'll be alright" playing in my bathroom. Drowsy- I wondered "What the hell did I eat last night and way is crap singing from the toilet?" And then I realized it was just my phone. "Farah's drug dealer-y. You smoke it- we sell it," I answered. "I'm going to ignore that and not report you to the authorities because I have bigger news," Magnolia's voice buzzed annoyingly in my ear "Fred got hit my a car!!!" She yelled. "Whoa. If you didn't have big new you'd seriously tell the cops?" I huffed. "Farah, please. Bigger issue," She said. "Tattle tale," I mumbled. "Well I'm taking the day off to visit him on Friday," Maggie said. "What! Why?" I yelled. "Because there not letting anyone see him until he comes out of critical care," She told me. "Why do you have to see him?" I wondered. "Because no one else is. He'll be lonley," "Well yeah I could have guessed that but the show! What about the show! Fred's a big boy. He can be alone for a little." I told her. "Plus the guy probably hit him on purpose! Are you going to give him the satisfaction of ruining our play too?" "Farah you can put this show on by your self. Just recruit one more person," Maggie suggested. "I'm having trouble recruiting my original people!" I said. "You'll be fine. You have Addison to help you," She said. "Addison's a damn tomato!" I screamed. "Farah, I'm going," Maggie said as she hung up. I threw my phone across the room and flopped down on my bed.
I'm fucked.

Act 6-Realizing I'm fucked Scene 2 - Ashbury parking lot
"Addison! Addison!" I pulled her away from flirting with Hudson. "Emergency!" I told her- Then lost my train of thought: "Wait. Are you two dating?" "Nah. It was more of just a summer fling," She said. "So what was the emergency?" "Oh!" I went back to panicking "I don't have nearly enough people for tryouts." "Oh god. No people- No extravaganza. No extravaganza- no extra credit. No extra credit and I'll fail! Farah I can't be held back! I date up not down!" "Calm down, Addison," I said. "You're right," She said. "Magnolia can do anything, right?" Addison looked up at me with hopeful dark brown eyes. "Well yes she can. But... Umm..." More hopeful looks "Well FredgothitbyacarandMagsisgoingtovisithimsotherebothnotintheshow," I spit out as quickly as possible. Addison's slow brain took a second to process that and when she did she started panicking again. "Addison. Addison, its going it's going to be okay," I lied. But it didn't help. She started hyperventilating and fell to her knees.
"Excuse me, is she okay?" A boy's voice called from behind me. I turned to see a "rather attractive young man" as my grandmother would say. He had a nice golden tan, athletic body with super-black hair and an amazing pair of voilet eyes. He reminded me of someone, though. "Oh, yeah. She's fine," I said, trying to play it cool.
Addison punched me in the back of the knee, flinging me backward. He gave me his hand and helped me up. "Uh she might be in a little trouble," I said rethinking it. "Here," He handed her a paper bag. "Breathe in this." Addison did as instructed. "My sister has panick attacks," He said. "A lot of stress." "Who's your sister?" I wondered. "Oh I think you know her. Magnolia King?" He asked. "Magnolia's a bitch!" Addison said running off. I rubbed my temples.
"I'm Derek King," He extended his hand. "Farah," I shook it. "Robs?" He asked. "Yeah... Why?" I wondered. "Well, I'm new, as you know. I was at a boarding school in England for some trouble I got in at my old school. I went to St. Ivan's prep and Maggie went to St. Octavia's prep. When I got expelled I had to move to boarding school and Maggie came here. She was kinda pissed because they couldn't pay for her tuition with my expensive school. So... with a lot of begging and pleading, I got to come back..." "Get on with it," I said. "Okay. Okay. Well she convinced my parents that I need an 'Expirenced American' to drag me around. Maggie picked out this really, really, creepy, short, troll-like kid, who I'm pretty sure had a crush on me-" "That's definatly Fred," I figured. "Then she picked out some other people who were really clingy and too smart for their own good-" "Yeah that's Magnolia's whole social circle. If you don't want an immeadiate reputation I suggest you keep the relationship of you two secret," I told him. "You think? Maybe. Well, anyway the last person she picked was 'an educational failure, with a not-so-sturdy-vocabulary, and a poor personality but she could probably get the job done,'" He said. "Who is that?" I asked. "Uh... you. Her words-not mine," Derek said, looking down. "So are you my designated stalker now?" I wondered. "Only for the first month. Until I get the hang of things," He said. "Well okay then... I better go find Addison. I'll meet you at the front doors," I said. "See you there," He said giving me the sexiest smile that could have killed me on the spot.

Act 6- Realizing I'm fucked.. Scene 3- School hallways
Scince Derek needed a personal tour guide to re-show him around his native land and scince I got pretty decent grades I got to take off first and second period. Although I have to stay after sometime after school to make a test, I can't really complain. I have to talk to an extremley hot, funny, nice guy and miss Ms. Marsh spitting on me with her lisp all through first bell.
"So this is the copy room," I pointed a finger to the largest room in the building. "Damn. That's bigger than the cafeteria... and the gym," Derek gasped. "Yeah," I agreed. "The Drummond paper company donated a good portian to the school but we have to advertise them." "They sponsered you? Like some kind of sports team?" He asked. "Ha. Have you seen our sports team? No one would sponser us. We couldn't beat the Bad News Bears," I sighed. "Why did they donate to this school?" He asked. "Well," I started as we moved into the stairwell. "I'm sure your probably wondering how this town even exists. Well once opon a time Janelle Drummond- The daughter of the people who own the Paper Company- entered a beauty pageant in Dayton. She's really pretty... and super shallow, so she was perfect. She ended up winning first place in Dayton, then out of all of Ohio, then before you know it she became Ms. America. She moved to California and no one saw her again- well, except on T.V.
"Then she donated a large chunk of her winnings to Mommy and Daddy and convinced them to make an amusement park-" "The Paper Park?" Derek asked. "Yeah. And that became a major tourist attraction. That equaled lots of people, but few citizens," I explained. "Oh I see," Derek said "But if I see another advertisement I think I might end myself." I side-glanced at him. "You know," I said deviously "The real way to get acquainted with the town is to... I don't know... explore the town." "Farah!" Derek gasped pretending to be outraged "Are you saying we should ditch?" "I don't think I heard anything sweeter-sounding in my life," I smiled.

Act 6- Realizing I'm fucked. Scene 4- The cafeteria.
I walked back into school with Derek around lunch-time. Accidently missing four periods intstead of two. Before I could even sit down Addison came running over to me. I walked over to meet Addison. "You feelin' better?" I asked. She shrugged "I guess. Anyway, I have a plan." "For what?" I wondered. "Our little audition problem," She said and whispered the plan into my ear. I looked at her quizzically. "Come on," She grabbed my hand and started dragging me somewhere.

Act 7- Plan of action.
I was pretty proud of Addison. I didn't ever expect her to be that... well... smart. This plan evloved around black-mail. Lots and lots of it. The first part was that Addison black-mailed her mom by saying that she would show her vibrater to the drama class so that Mrs. Berry would call an assembly. Then she black-mailed the assistant principal by saying she would the pictures of her and Mr. Brooks having an affair (which she also got from her mom) so she could file into the school records. Then she would blackmail the student we wanted for the extravaganza by telling them she would show their personal files other wise.
From that we were able to get Beatrice Towers (bed-wetter), Lake Thurston (She's Hudson's sister so we were able to get mass dirt on her), Kellisha Williams (wrist-cutter), Drew Bryant (closet gay), and Ashleigh and Malcolm Singleton (couldn't find ant dirt on them but we did photo shop a picture of them kissing- there twins by the way.) We got a lot more people too but those are the only ones that made it.

Act 8- The audition. Scene 1- The auditorium
I looked across at my team of Addison Berry, Drew Bryant (who sang Dare4Distance by NeverShoutNever), Jacki Drummond (Firework by Katy Perry), Finnegan Eddds (Man who can't be moved by The Script), Lamia Lynn Hammond (Hide and Seek by Imogen Heap), Saxton Jaakson (Make Damn Sure by Taking Back Sunday), Derek King- who majorly helped me out! I think I'm going to like this new kid- (There is by Boxcar Racer), Magnolia King, Talia Krosydolious (Impossible by Shontelle), Fred Mifflin, AshleighSingleton (Girls Just Wannna Have Fun by Cindi Lopper), Malcolm Singleton (Curse of Curves by Cute is What We Aim For), Hudson Thurston (Party in Your Bedroom by Cash Cash), Lake Thurston (Baby I Like It by Enrique Iglacius), Beatrice Towers (Kings and Queens by 30 Seconds to Mars) and Kellisha Williams (RESPECT by Aretha Franklin.)
"That was fantastic everyone. We meet everyday at four," I said to them. "But first..." Derek said "Its time for a little field trip." I smiled as we showed them the magnificent Carousel we stumbled upon in the woods. It's giant golden umbrella-like celing held up by several brass poles shimmered in the moonlight. The hundreds of fake jewels clung to the proud steeds posed in mid-run. "It needs some work to do but..." Derek started. "it's perfect," I said. The others nodded unable to speak. I know it's corny and everything but I think Im... Happy.
