This chapter is a short collection of peoples favorite stories about Chad.
"Chad is great guy. He is always willing to try new things. On December 23, we took chad and his now people's chair out to Madison Wisconsin to take part in an elf party. Chad got to show off his chair to a lot of his friends who hadn't seen it. I got to see the full efects of it and it was very cool. I got the chance to take some video, and a photo of his new chair. Chad is perticulary a role modole of mine and fun to be around for 24 hours 7 days a week." -Adam

"Chad ran the sound for the Pewaukee ski club while I was the announcer. I came up with the idea of putting together a commercial about Chad. It went like this," If you don't care what your car looks like when you get it back, call Chadalac Valet Services". We announced it several times during the season and Chad really got a kick out of it.

I was helping Chad put on a wet suit for his skiing session. It was a difficult task due to his stiffness. As we often exchange witty comments to each other, he saw an opportunity to get back at me by looking up at me, and with his pattented smirk, asked me," what are you, an invalid?'" I don't remember when we both laughed so hard. He continuously teaches me that it's healthy to not take oneself too seriously." -Joe

"Chad, the Swimmer: Chad's an all-around guy. Though he's in a wheelchair, I actually got a chance to witness him doing something I would have imagined impossible. Approximately during my summer visit to Brokfield, Wisconsin for the 4th of July weekend last year, I actually had a chance to see Chad water ski. Prior to that, he'd invited me to come see him ski. "How exactly do you do that?" I'd asked. "You'll see," Chad told me. After riding around in the Chadavan with Chad for a good chunck of the day, I finally saw hat he'd been talking about." -Nico

"Chad – “The Quick Change Artist”. I remember at last years WSTI conference how you could not get your caregiver to PICK UP THE PHONE! frantically trying to get her up and out of bed to get you ready for your panel presentation. You made it in the nick of time and still looked as handsome as ever.

I will never forget the first time I heard you call yourself "Bob" while introducing yourself. It was hysterical and it still puts a smile on my face every time I think about it. " -Gail

"Two days after I was named Head Coach for the Milwaukee Bucks, I got an email from someone named Chad who said he was a BIG Bucks fan. We exchanged emails throughout the season and I finally got to meet Chad after our Home Playoff game against the Detroit Pistons.

Over time, Chad made it obvious that he was a student of the game and was very supportive of me, especially when times got tough with the team.

My fondest memory is the story Chad told of his graduation ceremony and the issues that he had getting across the stage. He demonstrated a sense of humor, strength, and humility in describing the experience.

I have found that Chad sets his sights high and has goals which he usually achieves. Additionally, he has proven to be a role model and inspiration for all ... not just for those with special needs.

This book project is just another example of how he lives his life."

-Terry

"There were a lot of stories, and some that I recall right away included the time I locked you in the van when I picked you up from New Berlin Therapies. We got you in the fan and secured. Then I shut the door and realized I had locked the doors, not unlocked them. The only person I could get hold of was Mr. Kocchi (principal at Cleveland Heights). He took me to your house and I got the extra set of keys, came back and got into the van. " -Dave
