you never say good bye

Granted,
we all used
to see things the same way.
None of us,
ever opened our eyes
to what the world
really had to offer.
We saw nothing but death,
and crulety,
and pain.
Our spirits have left the bodies
forgotten.
Beaten down,
into nothing but a
pile of
bloody bones.
Shadows pass us by
as we walk
the Earth
blinded.
We saw no
light
for centuries that
seemed to
never end.
The fire
and darkeness
ate away
ate our flesh
unitl it got down
to the marrow of
our bones.
We screamed
but no one ever
seemed to
hear
our dreadful cries.
Every thing grew dark
and fell.

From pasts ago
light finally seemed
to open itself up again.
It found its way
back to the ground
replenishing every thing.
Brining the spirits and their
bodies
back to the way they were
many years ago.
Stars were put back
into the sky
and the darkness was
chased out.
We opened our eyes
feeling like
new.
Our souls and all our sins
were forgiven
when we were
reborn
into the life
that we knew would come one day
