A poem about Joy, and a secret that's hidden behind it.
People saw Goddess of Joy in their slumber
Although, awake, they had never seen Her.
Whether or not She exists is not their concern
They blindly believe She can make depression burn.
A promise made by the Goddess of Joy
Says happiness is free for any girl or boy.
The Believers are the followers of this exciting promise
Oh Truth wishes the Believers knew what reality is.

There within the legend lay
Secrets yet to be told,
All shall be revealed when Joy walks in
With eyes so dark and bold.
All eyes now gaze at the Sky’s path,
Waiting for Joy to appear…
Inhale the air, it smells of excitement
Mixed with a hint of fear.

Half past one at night, the time
The Believers still not dead beat.
“She’ll come!” One shouts amidst of whispers
“It’s her, today, we shall meet!”
The legend states (as the Believers tell)-
They shall separate into two sides
One follows Light, other chooses Darkness
And so the blind crowd instantly divides.

Hours pass, but no one turns
And Truth appears all of a sudden
“Joy will come and watch Sadness as it burns?
White lies! Here’s a secret that’s been hidden.”
Truth then begins capturing attention,
“Joy- A story! A LIE! It never comes without cost,
And while you’ve waited to win the Joy
It’s actually time that you just lost!”

Light’s good, and Darkness is evil
Air’s meant to blow tears away.
Fire’s hot and water’s cool
Earth is where all your bodies rest and stay.
They’re facts-they can’t be denied,
So why, my friends, are you all so blind?
Open your eyes, this world is cruel.
So leave your dreams of Joy behind.
