Is what I realised!
Yesterday, my mother,a homemaker announced that she has a business meeting at 5'o clock.I paid little attention thinking that she was talking about some gossip meeting in our flats. It was 4.45 and I saw her getting ready for the meeting. Not in her usual style but a bit professional. This made me curious and i decided to go with her.We started to our neighbour's flat where, I was told, somebody would be coming to tell us about the 'business'.

There i saw a man in his early 40's with his wife and kid.All of us started talking and we came to know that he is director of a company and that he is doing this business part time. He started off asking what our dreams are and whether we were able to fulfill all of them with our current income. Then slowly he moved to FMCG and pointed out how we end up paying a lot extra for almost all the goods we use everyday. Example, we pay 30 bucks for a paste, whose actual manufacturing cost in the factory is just 10 bucks.

He explained how in this business, we hand over the products to consumers directly from the factory. With his command over language and his marketing skills,we were completely convinced that this business is highly worth and it also made us regret for the fact that we didn't do anything like this till now.

This went on and on and only in the end, we realized that he didn't mention the name of the company. Finally he declared "Amway".

Oops!!!!! we are too familiar with this brand, didnt count how many times we were chased by amway people though.

Whether we get into this trap or not,is a different issue. But the way this person honestly attempted to spread the business was amazing. May be, had this person come first many years back,we would have got into the business too. May be.We got an aversion to this because, all those who tried to sell previously only wanted to make a profit. None of them wanted us to genuinely appreciate the difference in theirs.

Also, he had brought his daughter and wife to show us a demo and to prove the difference between their products and what we use everyday.

And with this meeting, I learnt how the way we express things can make a huge difference.
