The Thief

You are a thief.
You have stolen my heart.
There are times I wish I had it back.
But every time I begin to think that,
I found myself thankful you have it.
I just hope you take good care of it.
It means the world to me.
I don’t want to trust it to just anyone.
It should go to a person who truly believes in it.
It should go to a person who cares for it more than me.
It should go to a person that wants nothing but the very best for me,
Even if they think that it isn’t them.
It deserves the best of homes.
I know that it can’t stay with you now, but hopefully it will one day.
I hope that day that you will use it to fill any holes in yours.
Cause no heart is complete until it finds it true mate.
And you fill the holes in my heart.
So I surrender my heart to you.
Do with it as you will.
You are my soul mate and my heart belongs to you.
