North of here and far out sea
Lies a land where my heart aches
To be.
No place on this earth compares to
This
For sheer delightfulness and sweet bliss.
Through paradise is fair and bright,
This land is a much finer sight.
For in paradise what is to be seen?
No more then red fruit and branches green.
It never rains, the sun forever shines,
And all is kept within strict lines.
While paradises inhabitants are few-
The snake and god, just the two,
With no company to share
It most get quiet boring there.
To my land through,
No earthly city can compare!
This is true without a doubt, I swear.
Within this land love is blind
And while not everyone is kind
Adventures are quite easy
for those willing to find.
In my land there is free will,
Of which no one has yet had their fill.
In my land, when the sun shines bright,
The mermaids wave with delight,
The angels soar and sing all day,
To every traveler on their way.
When sweet night comes
And time to rest,
I close my eyes to the moons sweet face
And I wake here,
On earth again.
And I continue my campaign
To live through night
And to return
To the land for which I yearn
