Forsaken is the book that me and my wife are writing, All reviews will be helpful.
Torment:
You know the ways to get to me,
No way to get away.
You know best how to destroy,
To kill,
To maim,
To make me hate.
Your heart cold and unfeeling,
Your touch warm and inviting.
Such a tease,
Making me want you,
But always being too far away,
Just barely out of reach.
I’m not safe,
My mind warped from you.
Torment you torment me.
You trap me,
You keep me highest,
And the lowest.
Torment has unraveled me!

Prelude:

The damn day had been glum and his mood not much better. As he walks out his apartment and heads down the street he knows that the final decision has been made. There is no turning back, but the walk is long so he has time to think. He can picture what will go on as he walks down the wet misty road. He has no idea if the decision made was because of all the dreary rain or because of the fact he was reminded of how useless he was, but damn it he was determined to do this, no matter what.
No one could feel as low, or lower than he felt at that moment. He had blocked the pain for years now and now that everything was stable in his mind, and the blocks up, everything was good. Until he got reminded of what he has done. Everything was fine until the bomb was dropped his walls penetrated crushing his heart. His will to live and his integrity diminished. He was not expecting anyone to get through his barriers. Not especially having someone so sweet and innocent looking be so cruel!
