Passing by a stray street, I am suddenly gripped by fear.
As I pass by Southern Avenue
See thick rows of green and yellow
Trees, stretching endlessly
Consumed in their infinitude.
I look through the narrow offices
The sky beyond is clear and blue,
Swept clear of passing clouds.
But my heart wells with the fear
Of the day gone by;
But wait, it wells even more
In fear of the day that is coming.
