Ava was taken from everything she knows. But why? She won't stop until she finds out.
- Opening to Broken Sanity -

White. Everywhere. It was blinding. My feet pounded hard against the polished floor. I needed to get away. Needed to escape. My heart was pounding so loudly in my ears that the screams of the people behind me sounded like whispers. They wanted me. They were going to hurt me again. The hallway seemed never ending as I ran as fast as my legs could carry me. The white walls mocked me as I ran, their doors calling me to them. But I couldn’t trust the walls ... I couldn’t trust anything in this place. Time seemed to slow down as I saw my prize. The door... my freedom. The sunlight pooled through the door’s window, drawing me to it all the more. I was almost there... I could taste the fresh air. My fingers brushed the metal of the door a smile of pure joy spreading on my face for the first time in so long. I pushed on the metal bar, but it wouldn’t move. I pushed again but it just creaked, there was no movement. I glanced behind me, seeing them getting closer. Tears welled in my eyes as I pushed again and again, screaming at the door to open, begging it to open.  The door stayed how it was and I just cried and screamed at it; but it wouldn’t move ... deep down I knew it wouldn’t move. I continued to push, my whole body now trembling in fear making it almost impossible to push at all.
It didn’t matter anyway. They’d gotten to me. Two of them grabbed my arms and tore them away from the metal. My shaking hands grabbed at the air, as I flailed around and struggled as much as I could. I was screaming, I don’t know what I was screaming... the whole world was muted as the two men threw me to the ground and held me down. I couldn’t see through the tears, I couldn’t hear over my heart beat, I couldn’t feel through the numbness, I was senseless. But I fought back, hitting aimlessly, but it was no use... they’d won. The men held me completely still until I couldn’t move at all. That’s when she came, the woman who was always watching... she was the one that caused the pain, she’s the evil one. She stood above me, her black suit perfect and her hair tied into a tight bun.
“12 mills straight away. Make a note of the bleeding from the eyes, the extreme hysteria and any other symptoms you find” She said sternly before walking away again. I watched helplessly as one of the men pulled out one of the needles from his pocket.
“Please, no, please” I begged as he took the orange liquid into the needle. My body shook uncontrollably as I watched hazily through my tears. The needle inched closer to my skin and I screamed and struggled. Not again ... please not again. The pain shot through my arm as my vision slowly faded to black and my body fell limp. I tried to get away... I did. But I couldn’t do it.

It's only an opening, and it probably doesn't make much sense... but it will... hopefully? xD
