The It

The monster hiding underneath your bed,
the monster in the closet.
The creature that looms beside you,
the creature that is your shadow.
The beast that makes eerie noises at night,
that same beast that gives you a fright.
That thing I am talking about is the It.

The It is spooky, the It is clever.
The It is large, the It is small.
The It is not really anything at all.
The It you should be afraid of is fear itself.
