I am who I am...

I am not what you would call "normal"
Nor am I what you would call "perfect"
I am the one everyone hates,
I am the one everyone fears,
And disrespects.
You point and laugh because your nervous.
You fear the unknown, and the different.
You fear the queer, and yes, I say queer,
But, me, I am the unknown, the different. I am the queer.
I used to be scared to tell you that,
But, now I'm Not.
I care for myself, and my people.
I resist temptation, and I resist violence.
You can't make or break me,
No matter what....
This is the life I live....
Whether this is acceptable to you or not,
I don't care.
I will live my life the way I want to,
And I will not bend nor break to your whim.
I do not follow what everyone else does,
I follow my heart.
So, the question is,
why do you put down love????
