Ignorance

Your ignorance is blinding you to the truth.
Your hate poisons your heart,
Your eyes only see in black and white like
photographic negatives,
Your ears only hear lies.
But your soul is the only thing in you that is pure
and not tainted with your own venom,
You blame your pain on everyone else.
The reason for it all is those lies you breathe.
I can see through them all,
You pushed me away because of it.
Your hate blinds me.
The past disappears and a forged future
appears out of the deception-
Your lies shake me to the core.
Your ignorance is your only friend.
Everyone melts away from you,
They leave you standing there all alone,
Ignorance shelters you from the truth.
You know you can't keep living like this-
You know it hurts but it's the only way to keep
yourself from getting hurt again.
Ignorance is the only friend you have-
You'll never be the same like you used to be.
