Gratitude

In my youth, when things seemed rough,
Facing the unexpected with hesitancy,
Lack of confidence in my given talents,
I wished for my childhood hero so brave,
Come to the rescue and allow me to escape.

With time and experience into my travels,
Challenges blinding with whirling confusion,
Unjust turns gave a lesson empowering faith,
The truth arose, guiding me like a star, to see,
Gifts filled with amazing benefits to reap in life.

The power of love, especially with family,
The comfort of a hug, given with reassurance,
The faith within myself, dreams to achieve,
The hope in believing, blessings to come,
Treasures in life shared, become life itself!
