W.H.A.T. I.S. A. P.OE.M.?

Words that can influence an individual or a nation.
Hounding their hearts with mesmerizing rhythm.  Or
Aches that the writer tries to make into art,
Transforming his life into a world for our imagination.

Intimations, maybe, of the musings of a student;
Struggling to find to words to mark the smallest event.

And the beats of Lifes' hearts,made in synchronization.

People using language to explain...the world.
Opening your eyes as only meter could.
Esoteric ruminations of a literary genius,
Making ideas, more obscure, as his allusions unfurled.

But, I'll end with a question: "What is a poem to you?"
