I'm just missing someone I used to call my friend.
Balance

I've been wondering how you are all night.
You won't talk to me,
You didn't even tell me what I did.
I know you think I chose wrong,
That I'm strange and quite crazy,
But I remember the things you said to me,
And you're absolutely right:
There was always a pleasant balance between us.
That doesn't mean we were meant to be,
But you've taken that to mean we shouldn't be at all.
I know that I may seem different,
I've never been like anyone else I knew.
That's true of everyone though, we're all unique.
What you should understand about me
Is that I struggle so much with the darkness,
And that it's trying to swallow me whole.
That's going to take its toll,
And if I'm a little warped and broken,
Well it's not your place to fix me anyways.
I just want to know how you are,
Maybe I'll get to tell you why I said "no".
Give me the chance, please, please,
I didn't mean to kill everything that we have.

"When we're together, I just feel this...balance....like everything is just right."
