We've all experienced the pangs of love won and love lost.
Love can come slowly like a fizz,
Or swiftly like a dart;
But love comes only when there is
A meeting of the heart.

Love can come gently like a breeze,
Or roaring like a fire;
But love will always seek to please
The object of its desire.

Love can leave swiftly with a bang,
Or slowly with a tease;
But love's leaving leaves a pang,
That only time can ease.
