Cannot Say Good-bye

Like a break upon the sand,
I fall onto my knees,
Unable again to stand,
As my tears are carried on the breeze.

My heart inside is breaking,
For the love I always knew,
Gone without a trace now,
How can I go on, without you.

You were the rock that helped me stand,
You were the breath that helped me breathe,
A world with out you in it,
I just cannot believe.

The tears they begin to quicken,
With each altered breath I breath,
My soul no longer exists,
So it shall never be free.

How the world seems so empty,
So vast and lost and unreal,
I cannot live without you love,
And I am so afraid to feel.

For when I do it nearly kills me,
And when I sleep I do not want to wake,
My life seems over without you my love,
My eyes now burn and I begin to shake.

How I miss you my love,
Not a day goes by that I don't break down.
My heart will always beat for you,
But for another chance at love, it will not make a sound.

I will never love another again,
The pain just will not allow,
Though I know I must say good-bye to you,
I just…don't know how.
