A little ditty I wrote about 5 years ago. Recently rediscovered and edited down to a poem.
Discovered in the eye of the storm
She stood solemn and seemingly alone
Though guided by demons
The light in her eyes
Took my breath
And her voice took me by suprise

When all is clear
We traveled a thousand deserts
And drowned in a thousand seas
Just for disfigured fingers to meet

Found at last
And so alone
Kindred spirits no longer roam
As she stood proud
And far from home

Together
In a single letter
We conquered all the odds
Overthrew fate
Emotions speak beyond love and hate
Until the dawn
