poem about choice.
when you aren't
a grain of sand
it's easy.
life's easy.
women
are easy.
art
is easy.
when you aren't
a grain of sand
you become the
camel,
the trader,
or even the
oasis.
you are more than
what they say,
and you have a choice.
you are stronger than
what you've heard
only
you may not know it.
when you aren't
a grain of sand
you don't follow the
breeze.
when you are
what you are
you make it on your
own everyday.
charming snakes,
selling scorpions,
cutting hands off
at the wrist
and believing in
yourself,
your life,
justice,
and of course
your eyes.
when you're not
a grain of sand
you see above the
barren dunes cast
in one color.
see it,
grasp it,
free it, because
it's yours
and it carries
with the wind.
