Chapter 4: Drama Mamas
    I don’t regret starting the fight with Valerie. I’m glad I did. My anger just flew out, and no way in hell that brat is going to mess with my man! Yes, I kind of do like him, and it is a brother/sister relationship, but I just snapped. I got so mad I tried to bit her. It wouldn’t kill her, just stun her. ‘’What is your problem you psychopathic lewd creature!’’ Valerie exclaimed after Vinny and Jade separated us. Valerie got into the fight as I did.
‘’He is mine!’’ I snarled unable to control my temper.
Vinny chuckled. I guess he was enjoying all the attention.
‘’Girls, girls. No need to fight over me! Enough Vinny to go around.’’ Vinny said.
‘’Vinny? That’s kind of sexy. I like that name.’’ Valerie said and winked again.
‘’That’s it! Smack down time two!’’ I yelled‘’Bring it cupcake!’’ Valerie said
    Vinny caught me before I could leap. ‘’Izzy, calm down. She needs to hunt. Valerie is just a bit moody. That’s all. This will calm down after she gets blood in her system.’’
‘’I will honestly say that’’ I said very calmly ‘’I do not truly believe that!’’ I finished snarling. ‘’Bitch, he’s mine. We’re soul mates.’’ Valerie said.
    Hm, I wonder if she’s insane. She just met him for Fall Out Boy sake! Wow Jade is getting to me. Speaking of Jade, she’s absorbing all of this like it’s some soap opera.
‘’What. The. Hell. Is. Your. Problem. You just met him! I’ve known him for years! Over one hundred years! And you come up to me and call him your soul mate? Get some blood into this bitches’ system before she goes even more insane!’’ I yelled
    Without a response, Valerie walked away. I felt satisfied. Vinny didn’t move nor did Jade. Vinny was just smiling toward the carpeted floor. ‘’Jade, you sure chose a good vampire. Huh, she’s pretty fast. I’d be embarrassed too if I were her.’’ I said
‘’Ha ha, yeah. I guess I can!’’ Jade laughed.
‘’Since when I am yours?’’ Vinny chuckled
‘’Since forever, for your information.’’ I said and walked toward Jade and we walked away together.I bet we looked pretty sassy, though. We walked away giggling, and I felt normal for once. Having a girl friend. It has always just been me and Vinny. He eventually began following us, still smiling. I felt good. Even though the fight was not necessary, it was still fun.
‘’Hey! Iz!’’ Vinny called
‘’Yeah?’’ I asked. I wondered what he was going to ask me now.
‘’Why did you start that fight with Valerie?’’ he asked clearly amused.
‘’The answer is quite simple’’ I said intellectually ‘’I like you. Always have. Always will. See? Simple.’’ I said, very proud of myself.
‘’Hmph, well, that’s …..interesting. I’ll see you guys later.’’ Vinny said, chuckling to himself and walking away.
‘’What was that!’’ I exclaimed.
‘’I don’t know. Maybe he’s conflicted with his feelings over you. From my view, he like’s you. Like, a lot! Hun, he’s practically head over heels for you.’’ Jade said.
‘’Really? I don’t notice it. Does he really?’’ I asked
‘’Oh, yeah! Totally! It’s so obvious!’’ Jade gushed.
‘’Well, gee, thanks.’’ I said, clearly confused.
‘’Let’s go to Veronica and see what’s going on.’’ Jade said
‘’You nervous about meeting the other elders?’’ I said
‘’Not until you mentioned it. What are their names?’’ Jade said.
‘’Okay you obviously know Veronica and Simon. The three others are Leon, the head elder. He’s the oldest. And the other two are Ian and Nicholette. Ian is I guess you could say, the one who takes notes. Of course he registers his opinion, but he just sits there typing. And last but not least, Nicholette. She only speaks when spoken to. Nicholette is very quiet. I mean you will never, ever hear her talk loudly. She just whispers.’’
‘’Wow, so if I want to hear her, I have to get really close, right?’’ Jade said then laughed
‘’Ha ha, yeah I guess so.’’

      The elders were expecting us. It’s like they have some extra sense or something. It’s very weird. When the three of us walked in they were sitting along the far wall in these big fancy thrones. They were sitting in a row, from the left to right it was Nicholette, Ian, Leon, Simon then Veronica. Leon is the oldest, then Veronica, then Nicholette, then Simon, and Ian is the youngest. Nicholette and Ian are married. Ian speaks for both of them.
‘’We’ve been expecting you.’’ Leon said
‘’That sounded very dramatic.’’ Jade whispered
‘’Funny, young lady. I actually wanted it to be dramatic.’’ Leon said.
‘’I think he heard you’’ I chuckled.
‘’The council has discussed this newborn vampire’s abilities. She is very special and cannot be lost or hurt. Jade will be kept under a watchful eye. She will stay here with us and will be assigned guards. Jade will be treated as a young member of the council, and there will be made a change. There is now officially six members of the council. Are you okay with that? I know this is overwhelming but you are very valuable.’’ Leon said
‘’Do I have to stay here? I was actually hoping to travel with Isabelle and Vinny. Possibly Valerie.’’ Jade said. I twitched when she mentioned Valerie traveling with us.
‘’Arrangements could be made. You would be able to travel with your friends. But you still might need at least one guard with you. Other than that, I feel you need to see the country. But that is my opinion. Let the council vote. Ian?’’
‘’I vote you’re for the young vampire to travel with her friend’s under the protection of a adult vampire. Who has been trained in combat of course.’’
‘’Nicholette?’’ Leon said
‘’I agree with Ian.’’ Nicholette said.
‘’Simon?’’
‘’I absolutely disagree. I believe Jade should stay here under our protection.’’ Simon said angrily.
‘’And Veronica?’’
‘’I believe Jade should travel with Isabelle and Vincent without a guard. Isabelle and Vincent can handle themselves. They are very well capable of protecting Jade also.’’
‘’I am reconsidering. I like Veronica’s point. Isabelle and Vincent are not newborns. I have personally seen Vincent fight. He is very well trained. And I witnessed Isabelle leao at a newborn. Valerie, I suspect? I have heard that Jade accidentally created her. Am I correct?’’ Leon said.
Jade blushed. ‘’Yes, I did.’’
‘’I and my wife have reconsidered,’’ apparently they were talking during Leon’s speech. ‘’we agree with Veronica and Leon. She deserves freedom. We both think that she should meet her once a month like every vampire in the area.’’ Ian said.
‘’Look’s like we have our verdict.’’ Leon chuckled.
‘’Yes!’’ Jade yelled.
I giggled. This was the beginning of a beautiful friendship.
