      Dear Mr. Muzzy,

Genesis is not a myth. In fact, the Bible is the best attested ancient document of history.
If we deny its validity, we might as well abandon all our knowledge of ancient history.
If I had a need to find evidence for the revealed word of God, I would look to the continued
existence of the Jewish people. The Jewish people are the only ancient people from biblical
history who have had a continuous history in spite of losing their nation and being scattered
from it. You will not today find anyone identified as Babylonians, Syrians, Moabites, Edomites,
Ammonites, Philistines, etc. Furthermore, the Bible clearly predicts the course of Jewish history
and so far all of these predictions have come true to the letter. That included the Babylonian
captivity and its return. While you claim that the Bible actually did not predict these things,
but they were written after the fact, that argument will lose its force by the fact that it also
predicted the present worldwide dispersion of the Jews, extensive persecution of of the Jews,
and the rebirth of the nation of Israel. Everything the Bible said about the Jewish people,
both in their prophetic history and in their survival, is evidence of the hand of God.
Another clear evidence for God's existence is the uniqueness of the Bible as being different
from all other religious literature. All other religious literature was usually written by only one
person, but the Bible was written by 40 different people for a total of 66 writings, over a span
of 1500 years. Yet it contains no contradictions and is in perfect harmony, something impossible
to produce in any other area of history. You certainly would not have any harmony if you picked
a topic of science. Furthermore, all other religious books contain no predictive prophecies
by which it could be checked. The Bible does. Furthermore, all historical references the Bible
makes have proven accurate. All discoveries in archeology have proven the Bible accurate.
And what the Bible has said about man has certainly proven to be accurate. I have read many
arguments against the Bible and the existence of God. All I can say is that if you do not
believe it, those of us who have learned to come to know God have nothing to worry about.
I have long discovered that what Psalm 14:1 says is true: The fool has said in his heart,
      there is no God.

      Sincerely,

        Muzzy's letter to Shalom Israel

Could you send me a tape of your(1/16/91)Saturday show?
I am enclosing a check for $10. The topic was Bible prophecy.
The Bible has been rewritten many times. This could explain
the accuracy of Bible prophecy and the many contradictions.
Have you seen Star Trek? The gods or god in their stories are
actually highly evolved creatures, who were once like us.
We know that the human mind exist, but God is intangible.
Is it not more reasonable to assume that if a miracle occur, it
is caused by a human mind and not the mind of God?
God's existence is believed from the presence of miracles.
With all the evolutionary evidence available isn't the Genesis
story too simplistic? Have you read Jacques Vallee's DIMENSIONS
or Whitley Strieber's COMMUNION? The exterrestrial looks like the
Serpent in the Garden of Eden. Could Genesis be a mythical account
      of alien abduction?

      Sincerely,

      Muzzy
