The Match Is On

It's time now to stop being a coward,
Toughen up and put those boxing gloves on,
Take a swing at my competition,
Or else my chances are soon to be gone.

I know I can make it through this,
Doesn't matter how many times I fall.
I'm going to keep pushing with all the force in me,
Don't you dare think I won't give it my all.

No matter what people have to say,
I'm determined to prove that I'm strong.
It's my turn to win this tournament,
I've allowed life to knock me down for too long.

I have the ambition in me,
But that's only just a start.
I'm going to reach deep down inside of me,
Pull out the strength that's buried in my heart.

I'm aware that this is going to be painful,
And I know I'm in for some vigorous work,
But trophie's that are won too easily,
Just aren't even worth fighting for.

Sometimes I'll even break down,
And struggle to get back on my feet.
And you'll expect me to quickly thrown in the towel,
But i'm ready to take on the heat.

Try all you like to hold me back,
Though all of your attempts will fail.
You may slightly just knock me off the track,
But this train will not be derailed.

Too many times I was weak and collapsed,
So you think you've already won,
But i've never wanted this as bad as I do now,
Beware, the fight has only just begun.

You can throw all kinds of comments at me,
Discourage me and put me down,
But you better find water to put out this fire,
For your words are nothing but a sound.

One day, soon, I will catch you off guard,
Hit you hard like a punch in the face,
Then you'll be the one who's dragging behind,
Trying to keep up with my pace.

Life is an ongoing show,
And i'm tired of hiding back in the crowd.
You're going to witness me find my voice,
Cover your ears it's going to be loud!
