A Song of Madoc

Prince Owain's castle keep,
towers high.
Gwynedd's Prince ruled Wales long and fair.
Unafraid druids sleep
nor voice cry.
No Vikings lance swept through the air.

Son Dafydd crown did take,
brothers slain.
Lust for power doth blind his eyes
Minds and souls he did break
God profaned.
Slew Owain, deaf to father's cries.

Son Madoc, sailed ocean blue,
druids saved.
Found America's shining land.
None know if story true,
their lives saved.
But is it not a story grand?
