Alexis Batmin 7

I sit across from Max and Cara the surrogate parents of my baby in Elizabeth Deans office. The office is a pale blue with pink sofas and green love seats. It's super hot and stuffy with a huge desk and a wall full of baby photos with familes.  " It's a girl" Max grins. Rob practically jumps in the air and hugs me. Only one thing comes out of my mouth. " Catherine Rebecca Cara Mano". Cara clutches her stomach and smiles. " Thank you Alexis" she says as her curls bounce.

"Won't you miss the baby"? Rob asks.

" Yes but..... I don't deserve her"

I speak up. " A child always deserves it's mother" I argue.



Elizabeth glares. " You didn't tell them". Cara's eyes wander around the room with tears.



      "I just came back from rehab, I did drugs and even though I stopped i don't want the baby around me and drugs.

"She's not affected though" Max concludes.



At the end of the session Rob and I head out to our sleek black car. On the way home Rob can only smiles. " I can't wait for baby Catherine". I hold his hand an also grin. " We'll call her Kat" I say.



    When we arrive home I send my mom a quick email.





      Mom,

                We finished the session and found out it's a girl.

Her name will be Catherine Rebecca Cara Mano.

The mother, Cara did drugs and just got back from rehab.

She stopped doing drugs but

  still does not want the baby around that lifestyle. Rob is uber-excited and can't wait.

The baby is coming fast but I don't know if I'm ready.

" I'll need your help putting the nursery together. :) :) :)!

My colors are sandish brown and a sunrise pinkish ,yellowish.

Kat will be a spoiled child, I can tell!
