My thought was like a cartoon put into words.....it was weird.
I don't know how this popped in my head. I'm not sure if I had a dream the night before and it hid somewhere in the dingy basement of my brain and became buddies with my cerebral cortex (or whatever part of the brain that controls that stuff). It could have just been a thought I had while doing the dishes, I don't remember when I remembered it. In any event I had this thought and it was like a cartoon put into words.......it was weird! I'm tired of having conversations with people and wondering if they see things the way I see them, or if they even care at all. I'm not a doom and gloomer, I like to stay positive, but it seems like people are so very divided these daysLet me explain: I can have a passionate debate with someone who considers themselves a conservative about the ways of the world, or in this case the ways of the American government, and find that we are pretty much the same. We all want a safe place for our kids to grow into adults, we believe everyone should have the same opportunities no matter where they come from, we want clean air to breath while playing baseball or planting flowers in the garden, and none of us believe are government puts are interests above "special interests". I fell like we are separated by a an imaginary line, each side standing there yelling at the top of our lungs, ears closed, noses pointed in the air, and fists shaking in rage. And overhead hundreds of helicopters, half with conservative painted on the side and the other half liberal, actually more like the cars on the NASCAR circuit, sporting the stickers of corporate sponsors, colorful and inviting. And these helicopters are flown by fat ass politicians wearing the most expensive suits they could find, they're smoking stinky cigars that cost more than the shoes we wear on our feet. They all have over flowing pockets of money but none of it seems to fall out and trickle down through the sky. I just wish we would look up and say "where the hell did you get that helicopter"!
