GOD'S GARDEN ** Image ID #957941 Unavailable ** I shopped for plants that would beautify my own little patch of mortgaged ground. I planned and dug and placed each plant in rows, I was sure they would abound. I checked the water level each day to make sure they had quite enough. I fertilized and pampered them all, I was sure that I really knew my stuff! The weather changed, with cold and rain and there was even some flakes of snow. Mother Nature was not being kind at all! Plants were dying, my garden a "no go". Then one morning I ventured outside and much to my surprise and delight,- the old field was covered with daisies and sweet little wildflowers of white. I looked out and saw the bright yellow of dandelions on the hillside and found that while I had labored long and hard, It was God's garden that grew around. There were apple blossoms on the trees bringing fragrance so sweet and pure, soon tasty apples would be there to eat, and for the deer, this was a certain lure. The sun began to shine that morning and all my hard work was not in vain, for God smiled down upon my garden making all of it want to live once again. Now the moral of this story is clear that we really need to trust our Maker, for He will give us all we need to have because He's a mover and a shaker! 5/15/10 . |
