Just a little vent of ire at the bias and discrimination prevalent in our world
STORY
Oh! Sleeping ones,
Arise
And listen to what I have to say.
My story
Your story
A story of misery
A story of happiness
A story of life
Far from the line
That divides me and you
Rich and poor
Those were olden days
Forget them and listen
Listen to what I have to say.

There was a time
When dreams collapsed
A heart broke
And
A poor soul started wailing
A hundred faces started laughing
Jeering
Teasing
And, the hope died.
The flame of life extinguished
Let that not happen again.

The barrier of high and low,
Black and white,
Rich and poor,
Why it is there?
Still big and dirty,
Why
Some are always right
And,
Some always wrong?
Why
Some are always ignored
And
Some never?
Why this biasing?
Let us forget such things
Let us weave a new story,
Of equality, love and justice.
