bears

I might be ignorent or somthing but until recently I thought a Bear is a peaceful creature that would not attack you unless you do significant harm to it. However, thanks to youtube I saw some horror videos of bears attacking humans for no obvious reasons, at least from the perspective of a normal human not a zoologist. It seems it rips off a human just for fun! Playing cuddly but far from the image I saw on a teddy bear all these years....it's like an evil clown! I thought a bear is worse than a lion or tiger that shows interest when it is in fact hungry...or is it not ?
Actually when a real bear stands on it feat with its hands dangling down and a very silly look on its face it is not cute at all,,I don't look at my teddy bears anywhere the same as before.... bears are not safe to be around anyway...
