Don't laugh (Hah) - It was a challenge. The title must be Daffodils.
It drips slowly from yellow petals,
staining the grass with crimson pearls.
To and fro the body sways
Breezes pulling it this way and that.

Woven twine scored tender flesh,
Eventuating in a lifeless corpse.
Rays of sun falter as the darkness,
swallows the graceful creations.

The splintering of an old oak,
sounds across the now barren land.
Wilting carcasses fall to their side,
Optimism lost in death's embrace.

She is released from her hanging stance,
Crushing summer's innocent children.
Remorseful tears still staining pale cheeks
echoing her no longer clandestine sorrow.

The daffodils once swayed with grace,
In the mid-summer's breeze.
Until rays of sun faltered as the darkness,
swallowed the graceful creations.
